Department of Medicine names the 2023 FAME grant awardees

The Department of Medicine has selected two faculty members as the 2023 Fostering the Academic Mission in the Emory Department of Medicine (FAME) grant recipients. For more than a decade, the FAME grant has enabled DOM clinician faculty to dedicate up to 20% of their professional time to scholarly activities including research, education, quality improvement projects, and mentoring.

Meet the Awardees:

Anand Shah, MD, Assistant Professor in the Division of Digestive Diseases

Project title:
“Improvement of Hepatocellular Cancer surveillance in Veterans with cirrhosis or chronic viral hepatitis B at the Atlanta VA Healthcare System”

 

 

Sahebi Saiyed, MD, MPH, Assistant Professor in the Division of Geriatrics & Gerontology

Project title:
“Examining the impact of trauma-informed care on neuropsychiatric symptoms and psychotropic medications in the long-term care setting”
