Atlanta VA Medical Center’s Chief Residents in Quality and Safety named for 2023-2024

We are excited to announce that J. Willis Hurst Internal Medicine resident Tre’ Cherie Crumbs, MD and Tony Zhuang, MD have been named the Atlanta VA Medical Center’s Chief Residents in Quality and Patient Safety (CRQS) affiliated with Emory University for the 2023-2024 academic year.

We would also like to congratulate Robert DeStefano, MD another J. Willis Hurst resident, on being named the CRQS affiliated with Morehouse. We look forward to the seeing the positive impact that these residents will make.

The CRQS is a one year position for individuals interested in leading quality and patient safety educational sessions and gaining skills in quality improvement. The skills gained as the CRQS will be applied to a specific project during the academic year.
