What is your professional background?
Professor of Medicine, Division of Cardiology and Director, Emory Clinical Cardiovascular Research Institute (ECCRI) 

In what division do you work, and who is your mentor?
Department of Medicine Division of Cardiology

Briefly describe your research. Why is it important?
I am engaged in managing population, clinical and human translational research in cardio-metabolic diseases at ECCRI. Improving mechanistic understanding of cardiovascular disease, bringing novel and innovative ideas to improve disease detection and treatment and ultimately improving disease burden and outcomes is our primary goal.

What do you like most about Emory?
Very collaborative place to work. Broad group of scientists and healthcare professionals engaged in common goals.

What is your favorite movie or TV show? 
Don’t watch many shows, maybe Friends.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
Walk and work.

What is a fun fact about you?
I have been at Emory 20 years and feels like yesterday!
