Tell us about yourself. Where are you from?
I am from Randallstown, Maryland, a suburb of Baltimore.
What is your professional background?
I have been an HR professional for over 20 years. I have spent four of those years with the State of Delaware as an HR Specialist, six years with Delaware Technical Community College as an HR Specialist, seven years with Georgetown University as an HR Officer II, and then the last three years I have spent with Emory as an HR Operations Lead.
What is your role at Emory?
I am the Human Resources Operations Lead for the Department of Medicine.
How long have you worked in the Department of Medicine?
I have been with the University for three years.
What are you currently working on? Any upcoming projects?
I am working on a university-wide initiative with the staff council that would benefit employees who are at or below the poverty level. More information is coming soon!
What do you like to do for fun outside of work?
I absolutely love the beach—put me near any body of water and I love it! I also like to attend carnivals, fairs, and festivals with my family.
