Caroline Weldon named administrator for the Division of Endocrinology

The Department of Medicine is pleased to announce that Caroline Weldon has been named administrator for the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Lipids, effective July 1.

Weldon will be responsible for all TEC and university-based major division activities including grants and contracts, clinical operations, development and administration of TEC and university budgets, financial analysis, space management, and human resources management.

Weldon comes to the Department of Medicine from the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics, where she served as the department’s operations director. In this role, she was responsible for operational oversight for the department’s more than 75 providers and nine outpatient clinic sites with approximately 140,000 annual outpatient encounters. Prior to serving as the operations director, she was the department’s administrator for clinical operations.

Weldon earned both her Master of Health Administration and Master of Business Administration from Georgia State University. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia.
