Abdoulaye Kouyate named assistant director for the Department of Medicine’s Research Administration Services Unit

The Department of Medicine is pleased to announce that Abdoulaye Kouyate has been named assistant director of the department’s Research Administration Services (RAS) Unit, effective February 28.

Kouyate has more than 15 years of experience in accounting, finance, and research administration. He most recently served as a senior fiscal and grant administrator at Boston College, where he was responsible for the fiscal management of grants and contracts, and provided research support to faculty members. Prior to his role at Boston College, Kouyate served as the director of administration and finance at Boston University’s Department of Global Health. He also has experience as a senior post award grants and contracts manager, and as a supervisor of A/R and billing, both at the University of Massachusetts.

Kouyate earned his bachelor of arts in finance at Northeastern University. He received a Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance certificate from the American Management Association and an Award of Excellence from Boston University School of Public Health.

We are thrilled to welcome Kouyate to the department and we look forward to seeing his contributions to the RAS Unit.
