Danielle Jones named Associate Section Chief for General Internal Medicine at Grady

The Department of Medicine is pleased to announce that Danielle Jones, MD, associate professor of medicine, has been named associate section chief for General Internal Medicine at Grady Memorial Hospital.

Jones has served in numerous leadership roles within Emory and has extensive experience in medical education. She currently serves as attending in the Primary Care Center and on the general medicine wards, medical director and attending at the musculoskeletal procedure and injection clinic, chair of the Grady GIM Faculty Review Committee and member of Grady Section’s Steering Committee. She also directs the M4 Internal Medicine Applicant Preparatory Program and is the associate program director of Ambulatory Training for the J. Willis Hurst Internal Medicine Residency Program.

Jones is active in the Society of General Internal Medicine (SGIM), serving as chair of the education committee, and is a faculty member for the SGIM Teaching Educators Across the Continuum of Healthcare (TEACH) certificate program. She also serves as a member of the Association of Program Directors in Internal Medicine (APDIM) program planning committee.

Jones earned her MD from Rutgers Medical School and completed her internship and residency at Emory. She joined the Emory at Grady faculty in 2007.
