What research project or paper are you most proud of?
I enjoyed working on my QI project about increasing vaccination rates in veterans with cirrhosis. Being a part of the Faculty Development QI course for this project also gave me a great framework, and I enjoyed designing liver “passports” that patients could use and help empower them to take part in their care.

What do you like about Emory GI?
As cliché as it might sound, I really think the people make Emory such a great training environment. I love all my goofy co-fellows (all years included!), and the faculty and staff go out of their way to make sure we feel right at home. The exposure to four different sites and patient populations make for a well-rounded experience.

What’s your favorite thing about Atlanta?
There’s so much I love about Atlanta, but honestly, the food is probably my favorite. No matter what cuisine you’re craving, there’s something out there. Buford Highway is for sure not to be missed. There’s also so many good Boba places here. You can’t go wrong!

What are some of your hobbies?
Does eating count? Otherwise, I enjoy making papercrafts (especially Studio Ghibli ones), playing board games like Azul and Carcassonne, and binging shows like “The Witcher” and “Squid Game.”

Share a fun fact.
I’m the eldest of five and have two cats (Boba and Mochi). I have never been outside of North America except for Japan. (For the record, I’m Vietnamese.)
