I3 Nexus Awards

The Department of Medicine congratulates Jyothi Rengarajan, MD on receiving the School of Medicine’s Imagine, Innovate and Impact (I3) Nexus grant. Rengarajan was awarded $150,000 for her proposal titled Impact of HIV on Lung Immune Responses to Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Infection.

Rengarajan, associate professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases serves as the PI on the grant. She will collaborate with co-PI, Sushma Cribbs, MD, associate professor in the Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine.

The School of Medicine launched the I3 Nexus awards to support consortium/community building built around identifying an important research question and devising a path towards a solution that will lead to significant external resourcing along the lines of an NIH RM-1, major agency or foundation, or other significant extramural sources.
