Staff Spotlight: Danielle Roach

Tell us about your role at Emory.
I have the privilege to serve as the office manager in the Division of Cardiology.

How long have you worked at Emory? How long have you worked in the Department of Medicine?
I began my career here at Emory as an office assistant six years ago.

How has the Department of Medicine helped you in your career development?
Within the six years, the Department of Medicine and the Division of Cardiology have provided me with amazing new challenges and an environment to grow professionally.

If you could switch your job with anyone else within the DOM, whose job would you want? Why?
If I had the opportunity, I would like switch places or shadow any of our talented research faculty to learn more about their research and be a part of the interesting experiments they conduct. Nevertheless, I am enjoying the role I am currently in and look forward to learning even more.

What do you like most about Emory?
As a caregiver of many in my family, the support and resources Emory provides help me balance work and family, which is one of the many reasons why I enjoy working at Emory.

How do you define success?
The ability to persevere and not give up when things get tough is my definition of success.

Three words to best describe you:
Kind, consistent, and caring.
