Five Department of Medicine faculty members named 2019 Woodruff Leadership Academy fellows

In 2003, Emory’s Woodruff Health Sciences Center launched the Woodruff Leadership Academy (WLA) in honor of Mr. Woodruff and in recognition of his superb leadership ability. WLA develops leadership competencies needed in an academic health center, as well as the interpersonal, communications, and presentation skills necessary to meet the challenges of the rapidly changing landscape in research, education, and health care. The screening process for this prestigious program is extremely selective, and the WLA fellows are chosen from a large pool of stellar candidates each year.

Please join us in congratulating the five Department of Medicine faculty selected as 2019 WLA fellows:

Kimberly Curseen, MD
Associate Professor, Division of Hospital Medicine

Colleen Kraft, MD
Associate Professor, Division of Infectious Diseases

Vandana Dua Niyyar, MD
Professor, Division of Renal Medicine

Camille Vaughan, MD
Associate Professor, Division of General Medicine and Geriatrics

Srihari Veeraraghavan, MD
Associate Professor, Division of Pulmonary, Allergy, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine

The WLA aims to develop proficient, effective leaders within an academic health center by achieving the following objectives:
