Emory ranked #4 best hospital for treating infectious diseases

Emory University Hospital was recently ranked the #4 best hospital for treating infectious diseases, according to a Medscape survey completed by over 11,000 physicians.

The physicians were asked to rank their care preferences for themselves or family, assuming no barriers, such as transportation or cost.

“Hospitals can vary in the degree of expertise, innovation, and experience that they offer in treating certain conditions or performing lifesaving procedures. Physicians, who speak with other clinicians, go to conferences, and read medical journals, are likely to have more knowledge about standout hospitals as well as a sense of where they themselves would go for medical care. We felt that this professional knowledge would be valuable to share.” – Medscape
