Lance Clark named the administrator for the Division of Hospital Medicine

The Department of Medicine is thrilled to announce that the Division of Hospital Medicine has named Lance Clark as its administrator.

Clark has been with Emory Healthcare since June 2015. He began his career at Emory in the Heart & Vascular Center at Emory University Hospital and Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital, where he managed the outpatient operations for CT and vascular surgery. He transitioned to the Division of Hospital Medicine in 2019, where he managed the Emory Specialty Associates (ESA) hospitalist sites at Emory Decatur Hospital, Emory Hillandale Hospital, and Emory Long-Term Acute Care. As the administrative lead over the ESA hospital medicine program, Clark helped integrate the ESA sites from the DeKalb Medical system into the Emory Healthcare system and the Division of Hospital Medicine.

Clark is a graduate of the Emory Clinic Management Development Program, a rigorous three plus year program aimed at developing senior leaders at Emory. He earned his bachelor of science in public health degree from Utah Valley University, then worked at the University of South Florida as a research specialist before earning his master of health administration degree at the University of Iowa in 2015. He has been married to his wife Nancy for 14 years, and they have three children ages 12, 8, and 6. He is an outdoor enthusiast and lover of music and food.

Please join us in congratulating Clark and in supporting his smooth transition to this critical leadership role.
