Nadine Rouphael, MD, receives Dragon Award from the Office of Research Administration

The Department of Medicine is pleased to announce that Nadine Rouphael, MD, professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases, is the recipient of the Faculty Dragon Award from Emory’s Office of Research Administration (ORA). The Faculty Dragon category is a special nomination by ORA and Research Administration Services (RAS) staff for a faculty member who consistently demonstrates an exceptional partnership with ORA. Rouphael was presented the award at the ORA Town Hall April 15, 2021.

Rouphael serves as executive director of the Hope Clinic, the clinical arm of the Emory Vaccine Center. She also serves as director of the Emory Human Immunology Project Consortium at the clinic and associate director of the Vaccinology T32 Program. She has an outstanding record of scholarship, service, and leadership in building Emory’s nationally recognized translational vaccinology and therapeutic clinical trials program at the Hope Clinic. She has also made critical contributions to the development of COVID-19 therapeutics and vaccines.

“[I am] honored to receive the award from the people I love working with so much,” said Rouphael. “I am very grateful to ORA for the tremendous help with the Emory COVID-19 research response.”
