Joey Dee named Executive Administrator for Clinical Affairs and Administration

We are pleased to announce that Joseph (Joey) Dee has been named the Department of Medicine’s Executive Administrator for Clinical Affairs and Administration, effective February 1, 2018. He will also hold the title of Vice President of Medicine Services for Emory Healthcare.

In this new role, Dee will provide administrative leadership over the department’s operational, strategic, and financial activities within Emory Healthcare and the Emory Clinic. He will partner closely with John Sauer, who will continue to lead the department’s academic activities as Executive Administrator for Academic Affairs and Administration.

Dee has been with Emory since 2006, where he began as an administrative fellow in the Department of Medicine. He eventually moved into his most recent position as Senior Administrator for Internal Medicine Specialties.

Dee replaces Chris Rayburn, who recently was appointed Vice President of Emory’s Heart and Vascular Center after serving as the department’s interim clinical administrator since February 2016.

Please join us in congratulating Dee and Rayburn on their new roles. We look forward to seeing how their leadership will continue to enhance our institution.
