Turbow receives NIH loan repayment award

Sara Turbow, MD, MPH

Sara Turbow, MD, MPH, an assistant professor of medicine in the Emory University Division of General Medicine and Geriatrics, was selected for a NIH Health Disparities Research Loan Repayment Award through the National Institute on Minority Health Disparities. This program provides loan repayment support to individuals conducting research on health disparities and minority health conditions.

Dr. Turbow was selected for her research on high-utilizers at Grady Health System. Through her clinical, academic, and scientific pursuits, she has shown a commitment to health disparities and underserved populations. This award represents recognition by NIH that her work is relevant to their mission, and serves as an investment in her long-term research career.
