The Emory University School of Medicine is pleased to again offer a five-month career development course designed especially for junior faculty. Featuring a diverse faculty selected from throughout the School of Medicine and Goizueta Business School, this course will present information necessary for success in an academic medical center using a variety of formats including didactic presentations, group and individual exercises, and case-based problem solving. Because space is limited in this course, we encourage early nominations. Please refer to the website for a detailed course curriculum.
Who is eligible to apply?
All instructors and assistant professors in the School of Medicine.
What is the time commitment?
The course encompasses ten sessions to be held twice monthly from January 12 to May 18, 2017. Sessions will meet on Thursday evenings from 5:30-8:30 p.m. (with the exception of January 12, which will meet until 9 p.m.) and will include dinner. The majority of sessions will be held in the School of Medicine building. This course is approved for 27.5 hours of CME credit. Faculty accepted into the program are expected to attend all sessions.
What is the cost of the program?
There is a $450 charge per registrant due prior to the beginning of the course. This may be paid by the individual or the department.
