Academy of Medical Educators: 2015 inductees

Please join us in congratulating the 2015 inductees to Emory University Department of Medicine’s Academy of Medical Educators (AME):

Bhavin Adhyaru, MD (Division of General Medicine & Geriatrics)
Molly Eaton, MD (Division of Infectious Diseases)
Danielle Jones, MD (Division of General Medicine & Geriatrics)
Karen Law, MD (Division of Rheumatology)
Noble Maleque, MD (Division of Hospital Medicine)
Susan Ray, MD (Division of Infectious Diseases)

The AME is designed to reward teaching and to promote best practices in teaching across the department. The AME’s mission is to advance and support teaching in the Department of Medicine.

The AME’s primary goals are:

1. To identify, recognize, and honor master teachers
2. To develop and implement innovative education tools and programs
3. To mentor and train aspiring educators who will act as role models for other faculty

The AME recognizes and supports educational efforts for medical students, graduate students, internal medicine residents, clinical and post-doctoral fellows, and faculty in all divisions of the Emory University Department of Medicine. In addition, the AME sponsors a number of Department of Medicine programs and awards, including Emory TEACH 12, the Fellows Teaching Competition, and “BST” Mode (Bite-Sized Teaching) seminars.
